Over the course of Healthy Relationships and Where to Find Them there have been several questions from readers that I thought I would share and try to answer with the best of my ability!

Remember if you have questions, feel free to drop them here. Enjoy!

1.)  How do you handle different money mindsets, especially when your partner seems to value money over your emotional needs?

This one is tricky because money is always a hot button issue, but it doesn’t have to be. Money and how to handle it needs to be discussed early in a relationship and if you can’t do that, on to the next.

One is worrisome about this question is that emotional needs are not being respected and take a back seat to financial needs. Emotional needs should always be met first and foremost. Communicate your needs in away that is authentic to you but let’s your voice be heard.

2.) What are some different ways to explain to a partner that they’re not being supportive without blaming & shaming them?

Communication is always paramount to any healthy and happy relationship. Think of constructive examples of when they did something that made you feel supportive, try to stay away for negative times. Then offer solutions that will make you feel supported and loved. Helping them see what you need can help create a sense of connectedness between the two of you.

3.) What do you do when both of you feel like you’re the only one putting effort into the relationship?

Let me point you to my article, Pick Better Partners. If you are putting in more work and still not seeing changes after you’ve spoken to them, I hate to say it, but it might be time to leave the relationship.

Yes there are times when one partner does more work, but in those cycles, things always correct themselves. Things happen in life and we sometimes can’t be 100%, but again those things work themselves out.

The problem comes when things don’t go back to square one and things don’t correct themselves.

You deserve the best, why settle for less?

Ok that’s it! What did you think? Use the #HealthyRelationshipsWhereToFindThem to let us know!
