Over a decade of writing. Hours of revisions with the help of @btleditorial and many many others. Rivers of tears both good and painful. Countless new readers and amazing supporters. Road blocks and bridges. Two computers who watched silently the struggle to produce a story that could help join the world of mental health and fiction.
After it all, @TheStarlessSeries comes to a close.
I thought of this moment from the very first page. I wondered how I would feel and what would it be like. Would I celebrate? Would I cry? Would I be numb with disbelief? How about all of it, at once, up and down.
This journey has impacted me and the books are now a part of me in ways I never saw coming. They’ve helped me grow into a woman and a better therapist by showing me the gray of life—how vibrant and cold it can be all at the same time. They’ve taken me on adventures and given me a sense of peace I didn’t know I needed.
Don’t get me started on the new friendships I’ve been fortunate to make—from book bloggers to readers to forever fans of my work. Seriously, without any of you, none of this would be possible. I am grateful for you every single day and you make me want to keep writing. Thank you for your faith in my ability to spin a tale and land you safely on the other side. 🖤🧿
