Me and My Gal, Riggs

Me and My Gal, Riggs

A few Months back on our daily morning walk with our dog, Rocky, we stumbled upon a tiny cutie alone, lost, and hungry. After trying to find her mom or maybe an owner, it was clear we had a new family member, Riggins Theodora 🖤

Watching her grow and discover who she is left me with some valuable lessons I think we could all use:

🐈‍⬛ Love is unconditional if you allow yourself to love and be loved. It’s harder than it sounds, but worth the work and healing to make it part of your life.

🐈‍⬛ No one has a right or place to tell you what parenthood should or shouldn’t look like. We can all parent if we want that experience in life. With that said…

🐈‍⬛ Parenthood is hard.

🐈‍⬛ Laughter is the best medicine.

🐈‍⬛ Find the joy in new discoveries. Whether that’s about yourself, your world, or the people around you. You never know what you might uncover.

🐈‍⬛ Put your phone down and step away from social media. If there’s one thing Riggs hates it’s a cell phone and through her dislike of the thing, she’s helped us learn to be more present and enjoy the moment.

Life might throw us curve balls, but it’s in those moments we learn the most. I can’t wait to discover what more Riggs has to teach us about parenthood, life, and the art of slowing down
