Self Care Challenge

Happy new year! I’m so excited to be back and running at the writer’s desk and in my therapy practice. I took a few weeks off to see family and friends, but as is tradition in my neck of the woods, I couldn’t wait to get back to work!

What do you do to show yourself some love?

This year I’m setting my intensions high and my main focus, outside of career goals, is to do a lot more self care and self reflection. Like I said before, I love my work and I tend to get lost in it. It’s not a bad thing when kept in check, yet towards the end of 2018 I found myself burned out and exhausted. I realized even though I was practicing my self care, I wasn’t living it.

My self care became a core and I wasn’t stopping to smell the roses. I was rushing from thing to thing without taking time to actually experience what I was doing.

No more!

This year I challenge you to join me in finding joy in the little things and do something nice for yourself for at least 5 minutes. We all have 5 minutes to spare some where, so watch my latest video yo give you some ideas of what you can do to give back to yourself!
