Sexual Content in The Starless Series

Writing realistic, consensual s*x scenes has proven to be my best decision yet 😎 ⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Need I explain? OK Buckle up, we’re spilling tea today…⠀

Remember your S*X Ed class in school? Yes, the one where they forced you to either sign abstinence forever docs or only talked about NOT having s*x even though most were engaging in some form of s*xual behavior? (I’m not bitter 💁🏻‍♀️) ⠀
⠀⠀⠀
That class didn’t prepare you for sh*t. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀
So, what did you do? Turned to media for some type of clue as to what was going on in your body, in your relationships, and in your fantasies/dreams. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Another nightmare, am I right? Why?

⠀⠀⠀
Because even then the inaccuracies caused us all to internalize unhealthy relationships, non consensual s*x, and it didn’t bother to explore s*xual representation for any of us to be seen or heard. A mess. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀
@thestarlessseries offers a unique look at healthy sexual relationships with discussions about safe s*x, body autonomy, desires/needs, and so much more. It’s the book I would’ve wanted when I was younger and not a s*x therapist. Realistic depictions that allowed me to safely explore and not get stuck repeating unhealthy boundaries with partners. It’s the series we all needed to help us navigate complex adult relationships. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Tell me, my friend, what would you like to see more discussed in media? Whether for your younger self or for the next generation. Comment below and get your copy of DAWN AMONG THE STARS wherever books are sold
