Upon Ending The Starless Series

Upon Ending the Starless Series

I think it’s safe to say, my writing career hasn’t been easy or dull. It’s all tied together in this thing we call the writer’s life.

And you know what? I wouldn’t change a thing.

After a decade of blood, sweat, and more tears than I care to share, @thestarlessseries has come to an end. The last word has been written and lovingly been sent to @btleditorial for edits, the cover artist has begun creating and the formatter (@evenstarbooks) eagerly awaits it all as a fan because of this wild ride we call publishing. 😉 and I love them all for their hard work and dedication to excellence.

Some have asked if it feels like an ending and in some ways it is. The characters have grown up and established lives they can be proud of. Their trials and tribulations have been handled. They’ve created loving relationships in which they can grow and thrive. All of it an author’s dream.

And haven’t I done the same?

My life is completely different than what it was when I first wrote the words, “My family sat in silence—equally mesmerized and horrified—as we watched our dawning reality play out on the screen.” I’m thriving, surrounded by people I admire and love. I’m living life through countless trials and tribulations, developing my resilience. I’m in healthy relationships allowing me to be my best self and grow. It’s safe to say I’ve grown with my characters and look at us now.

I’m so thankful for all of it and especially thankful for you. It’s not an ending, not really, just another exciting ride. 🖤
